Around 2010 · The idea
It started in a small apartment.
Our founder, Eric Mendes, was a student and immigrant trying to deal with laundry in a tiny living space. The frustration sparked an idea he couldn't forget.
This one's personal

2019 · Making it real
When Eric's parents joined him in Canada, he saw his mom struggling with laundry. They worked together on prototypes until they made something that really helped.
A name with heart
Laundry Turtle is named in honor of Eric’s mom. The family affectionately calls her “Tartaruguinha” — Portuguese for “Little Turtle.”
Now · Your turn
